Male: India on Sunday reiterated its dedication to the Maldives’ safety and signed a $50 million defence Line of Credit score settlement with it to spice up the maritime capabilities of the strategic island nation.

The $50 million credit score line settlement for defence tasks was signed between the Finance Ministry of Maldives and the Export Import Financial institution of India.

The signing of the settlement passed off after Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held talks with Maldivian defence minister Mariya Didi, Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer, Minister of Financial Improvement Fayyaz Ismail and Minister of Nationwide Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam.
