This is to you, BOT Connor.
An update to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive this week pulled bots from aggressive matches – and now gamers are remembering them at their greatest.
Previous to the seventh January replace, when a CS:GO participant disconnected or was kicked they had been changed by a bot to maintain groups even.
Following the replace, gamers who disconnect or are kicked in basic aggressive and wingman modes will now not get replaced by a bot. This implies there isn’t any extra 5v5 if a participant leaves – groups will all the time be a participant down. If the all the different group leaves, one bot will likely be left on the opposite group, idling in spawn.
Valve made the change with out rationalization, leaving gamers scratching their heads on the reasoning. One idea is the choice was made to discourage groups from kicking underperforming gamers with a view to substitute them with a bot they’d in flip play with after dying, successfully giving the highest fragger an additional life.
Some gamers strongly disagree with the change, saying it is unfair to be confronted with a 4v5 match as a result of a teammate randomly disconnects or abandons the match at first of a spherical.
Because the CS:GO neighborhood will get to grips with this variation, gamers have frolicked remembering bots from latest years. Redditor thefolenangel took to the CS:GO sub to begin a thread for gamers to recount their favorite bot reminiscences – and there are some classics in there. This is a snippet of clips of CS:GO bots doing the enterprise – or simply doing unusual stuff:
So! This is to you, BOT Connor. And also you, BOT Brad. And also you, BOT Vladimir. We’ll always remember you.
